Plot Summary

 Medical intern Robert Morley (Randolph Scott) is distraught after his wife dies in childbirth. He's resentful of his new son Billy (Buster Phelps) and wants nothing to do with him. He leaves the child with his aunt (Beryl Mercer) and uncle (Joseph Cawthorn) and heads off to Europe to pursue his medical studies. Morley returns to his hometown six years later, now a successful doctor and engaged to be married to a beautiful socialite. (Martha Sleeper) He also feels differently about the boy and attempts to gain custody from his aunt and uncle.

Plot Summary


In Kentucky just after the Civil War, the Hayden-Colby feud leads to Jed Colby (Noah Beery) being sent to prison for 15 years for murder. The Haydens head for Nevada and when Colby gets out of prison he heads there also seeking revenge. Mark Hayden, (Egon Brecher) The head of the Hayden family tries to avoid more killing but the inevitable showdown has to occur, complicated by Lynn Hayden (Randolph Scott) and Ellen Colby's (Esther Ralston) plans to marry.

Plot Summary

Beasley, (Noah Beery) who is after Gayner's (Harry Carey) land, plans to kidnap his daughter Alice. (Verna Hillie) But Brett Dale (Randolph Scott) overhears their plan and kidnaps her himself. When Gayner arrives to retrieve his daughter, Beasley kills him and makes the Sheriff (Tom Kennedy) arrest Dale for the murder.

Plot Summary


 Eric Gorman (Lionel Atwill) returns with his wife Evelyn (Kathleen Burke) from a trip to the Orient collecting zoo animals, having killed a member of his expedition who happened one day to kiss Mrs. Gorman. On board a ship Evelyn meets Roger Hewitt, (John Lodge) who falls in love with her. After delivering his animals to the zoo, Gorman plots a way to dispose of Hewitt using one of his latest specimens, then continues using the zoo's non-human residents to do his beastly work.

Plot Summary

Both Sprague (Harry Carey) and Jett (Noah Beery) and their crews are hunting buffalo. Doan (Randolph Scott) is with Sprague and is looking for the Jett outfit where his girlfriend Milly (Judith Allen) is being held against her will. In addition to the thieving Jett who is stealing Sprague's furs, the Indians are gathering to attack all the white buffalo hunters.

Plot Summary

 Bank employee Ruth Brock (Nancy Carroll) has a reputation around town for being fast-and-easy but none of the panting suitors has made her yet. She disillusions them one after the other, but the Connie (Edward Woods) is a bad sport and starts a gossip scandal, among the hens and roosters, about her and millionaire playboy Romer Sheffield (Cary Grant) which causes Ruth to lose her job. Meanwhile old sweetheart Bill Faddon (Randolph Scott) arrives and town and she quickly tries to marry him but things don't go as planned.

Plot Summary


Adam Naab (J. Farrell MacDonald) controls the pass and lets all the ranchers through except  Judson Holderness (David Landau) and his stolen cattle. When Naab refuses to sell, Holderness works on his son Snap (Gordon Westcott) who has run up gambling debts. There is more trouble when Snap becomes jealous of Naab's step-daughter Judy's (Sally Blane) attraction to the surveyor Jack Hare. (Randolph Scott) When Holderness has Snap killed, everyone heads to town for the showdown.
